About
"Where the whimsical and macabre meet.." Stephanie Lopez-Melero is an illustrator and graphic designer whose experience in digital media and print conveys emotion and message through imagery and color. Much of her work draws inspiration from folklore as well as personal experiences, religious and cultural background. Born and raised in the Ventura County area, her love of art came to fruition at an early age. After graduating from Ventuta College in 2009 she transferred to California State University Channel Islands in 2010 where she studied various forms of studio art such as traditional animation, motion graphics, and graphic design.
Stephanie has always believed that art is a bridge that breaks through language and cultural barriers, bringing people together and uniting them. She says, "Where words have often failed to express what I want to say, I have always been able to look to art as a translator. The way I approach my art is the way I apporach life, with an open heart and an open mind. Being an artist one can never run out of sources of influence and inspiration and that is definitely one of the many aspects of art that I love."
